Dear Friends and family,

In my quest to find my roots, I have embarked on this journey of tracking how  it all began in Padana Gardens - the place where I was born. This journey of  constructing my genealogical database started with a trip to Cannanore (Kannur)  in July 2002. So far I have been able to trace many folks who somehow can be  connected to me and/or to Padana Gardens and its surrounding locales i.e.  Markarkandy, Kolavayil, Thayyil, Kuruva road and the towns of Cannanore,Tellicherry,  Calicut, Mangalore and many places in between. I know there are many thousands more  spread all across the globe.  It is my humble wish that I be able to trace the  origins of all my ancestors and/or their descendents in Padana Gardens who once  called it home.

In this journey, I have met folks whom I have never met before in my life. I  am proud of my heritage and ancestry, hence this quest. I thank you for  browsing this website and for making any contibutions by way of information  and photos to building this database. Please bookmark this site as it will be  updated on a regular basis.

I have tried to be as accurate as I know or has been told. Please let me know  of any inaccuracies and I will correct them asap.

I wonder how it all started in Padana Gardens!. Many stories have been told -  from a simple migration of four or five families who came down to Cannanore  from Mangalore to Tippu Sultan taking Christians as prisioners and dropping  them at certain locations because of the lack of food to feed them and so  on ....... I would be interested to know the real fact?????
